Fundraiser with Proceeds Given To Our Living Hope!!

I have an exciting fundraiser to tell everyone about!!!  My dear friend Jenn has become a Thirty-One consultant!  If you haven't seen Thirty-One before, they have the most adorable purses and totes!!!  (I want some!!!)

But here is the really great part!  Jenn is donating all of her commission for sales through her website to Our Living Hope Taiwan!

Any online party booked with Jenn between THIS Wednesday-Friday, and is completed by the end of May, will also have the commission given to Our Living Hope Taiwan!!

PLUS, if she is able to sell $1,800 in product by the end of May, she will receive her "Kit Fee" back, and will in-turn donate it to Our Living Hope Taiwan!!!  WooHoo!!!  It just keeps getting better!!!!

There is a HUGE sale going on this Wednesday-Friday with DEEPLY DISCOUNTED items from last season - while supplies last!!  Might be a great time to order (and guess where the commission will go??  Our Living Hope Taiwan!!  LOL!!!)

Please visit Jenn's website  www.mythirtyone.com/JennHeckert and seriously consider buying one (or some!) and booking an online party with her!!  We just might be able to raise enough to buy the supplies we need to do the work on our mission trip in September!!!

Please pray for Jenn's success!!  She has such a heart for the work that Morning Light Ministries does in Taiwan!!

Thank you Jenn!!  I love you!

More Mission Trip Info!

I now have pictures of what desperately needs to be done at Morning Light Home.  It was painted last year, but was not sealed and primed so it has what they call "Wall Cancer".   We will be sealing the walls and repainting them so it can look much more homey and inviting!

As you can see, something needs to be done!  Plus, we hope to get some curtains up too to dress it up a bit.

Also, we feel strongly that we want to minister to the birth moms while we are there (both current and past birth moms!).  We are planning on inviting them all to a "Spa Night" where we will spend an evening pampering them and showing them that they are truly special in God's eyes!  Society might tell them otherwise, but these precious women chose to give their babies life and not abort them!  Not one of them had an easy situation, but they dealt with the humiliation, the isolation from family and friends, and made the right decision.  We want to minister to their hearts while we are there!!  They are worth it!

And, like I said in the last post, we will also do a short English VBS for the church's youth, which should be a lot of fun!

So, if you are thinking that this is something you would like to be involved with, please email me (Denice at gusfamily7@gmail.com).  If you know you couldn't make it, but still want to help, we will need donations to cover our supplies (paint, primer, fabric for curtains) and also donations of "spa" supplies (nail polish, lotions, etc).  And as always, your prayers covering this is very appreciated!!

 Thanks!!

Some Exciting Things Are Happening!!

It's been a busy couple of months, so I'd like to go back and fill you in on all that's happening with Our Living Hope Taiwan and Morning Light Ministries!

In January, my church, Ogema Baptist Church, held their yearly "Spa Night" fundraiser, and they chose to donate the funds raised to Morning Light Ministries because of Our Living Hope Taiwan!  It was a very fun night!  I was asked to speak about our adoption experiences and how I came to be involved with Morning Light Ministries and how Our Living Hope Taiwan came about!

The end of January, I submitted Our Living Hope Taiwan's Articles of Incorporation to the state!  Our first step in becoming a non-profit organization!  A couple of weeks later, we got the paperwork back...and now we are officially Our Living Hope Taiwan, Inc.!!  I am currently working on writing up the Bylaws for our corporation and will have an appointment with an attorney soon for guidance on submitting the paperwork to the IRS to receive our 501(c)(3) number!!  Please pray that it goes smoothly!

We are in the process of planning a missions trip to Taiwan for this summer!  We will be going there for approximately 10-11 days.  One of the big needs that Morning Light Ministries has right now is for help painting and fixing up Morning Light Home, Hagar's House and Garden of Grace.  Due to the humidity there, they have something they call "wall cancer", where the paint bubbles up.  We will be properly priming and painting the walls, and hopefully putting up a mural as well.  We will also be doing an English VBS for some area youth and are also working on something to minister to the birth moms (and hopefully past birth moms as well) by serving them in a special way to show them God's love for them!  If you are at all interested, please email me (Denice at gusfamily7@gmail.com) for any questions you may have or more information!  And please be watching for some upcoming fundraisers to help us buy supplies!!

We also have another way to help Morning Light Ministries that literally anyone could do!  If you are interested in writing a letter to some government officials in Taiwan in support of this valuable ministry, please email me for more information.  I have a sample letter and addresses.  I sent mine and it was less than $2 to send.  We need to let them know that we feel this is a vital ministry that they have in Taitung!  It will really take you only a few minutes to type it up and send it off, but we would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers!!
