Some Exciting Things Are Happening!!

It's been a busy couple of months, so I'd like to go back and fill you in on all that's happening with Our Living Hope Taiwan and Morning Light Ministries!

In January, my church, Ogema Baptist Church, held their yearly "Spa Night" fundraiser, and they chose to donate the funds raised to Morning Light Ministries because of Our Living Hope Taiwan!  It was a very fun night!  I was asked to speak about our adoption experiences and how I came to be involved with Morning Light Ministries and how Our Living Hope Taiwan came about!

The end of January, I submitted Our Living Hope Taiwan's Articles of Incorporation to the state!  Our first step in becoming a non-profit organization!  A couple of weeks later, we got the paperwork back...and now we are officially Our Living Hope Taiwan, Inc.!!  I am currently working on writing up the Bylaws for our corporation and will have an appointment with an attorney soon for guidance on submitting the paperwork to the IRS to receive our 501(c)(3) number!!  Please pray that it goes smoothly!

We are in the process of planning a missions trip to Taiwan for this summer!  We will be going there for approximately 10-11 days.  One of the big needs that Morning Light Ministries has right now is for help painting and fixing up Morning Light Home, Hagar's House and Garden of Grace.  Due to the humidity there, they have something they call "wall cancer", where the paint bubbles up.  We will be properly priming and painting the walls, and hopefully putting up a mural as well.  We will also be doing an English VBS for some area youth and are also working on something to minister to the birth moms (and hopefully past birth moms as well) by serving them in a special way to show them God's love for them!  If you are at all interested, please email me (Denice at gusfamily7@gmail.com) for any questions you may have or more information!  And please be watching for some upcoming fundraisers to help us buy supplies!!

We also have another way to help Morning Light Ministries that literally anyone could do!  If you are interested in writing a letter to some government officials in Taiwan in support of this valuable ministry, please email me for more information.  I have a sample letter and addresses.  I sent mine and it was less than $2 to send.  We need to let them know that we feel this is a vital ministry that they have in Taitung!  It will really take you only a few minutes to type it up and send it off, but we would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers!!
